“ Great food, great ambiance, great service! What more can you want? My wife and I especially enjoy Monday trivia night , but any night is a good night at The Barley Neck. ”
“ Second visit...Food,service,and ambiance are all perfect. It is our go to place on the Cape ”
“ I must say that I keep going back to the Barley Neck for their burgers and home cut fat fries. Very tasty and fresh ! ”
“ Great food and service. Very busy Saturday night. We were seated at the bar in one of the smaller rooms. The bartender (Lena) was friendly and very attentive. Menu offered a lot of choices. Pasta primavera with blackened scallops was delicious. The kitchen was kind enough to customize my friend's meal to his liking. I'm sure we'll be back ”
“ This is my favorite restaurant in Orleans. For a while, it was the only place my family and I went to every time we were on the Cape. It's a former Inn which informs the ambiance and the staff have always been friendly and professional. The bar area (I think they call it the tavern) can be loud sometimes, so if that's disruptive to your experience, try to get a reservation for the dining room. I recommend the burger and the roast chicken breast! ”
“ Have been coming to Orleans for years and hadn't tried the Barley Neck until last night. Wow - were we missing out! I had the blackened scallops special and my husband the calamari appetizer and fish and chips- everything was so fresh and delicious. We have a new favorite vacation restaurant! Our server was so friendly and helpful, giving us perfect recommendations. It was the perfect meal in the perfect environment! ”
“ Updating my review to five stars because the food has improved and based my experience, the staff continue to be friendly. Our family members live in the area and they said the overall operation has improved in the past two years....so this backs up my limited experience. While it could be hot on a summer day in the yard. It's also a great spot to be as the sun is setting with drink in hand. ”
“ The appetizers we got were great. The berry salad was so good as well. We sat on the lawn and had 1.00 oysters and clams and which were great. ”
“ Day before Thanksgiving. Show up for reservation, no cod, no steak, no pizza... I have a severe selfish allergy, so my food options were very limited..Bakes brie was phenomenal. Burger bland, my friends got scampi della neeve--Both kind of bland. Drinks were drinks. Band playing WAY too loud. Service is excellent, even though im sure he was annoyed by us ”
“ First time here tonight and we really enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere in the tavern side. Big bar. We had a 12" cheese pizza for an app and it was very good. Then we had the shrimp scampi and the fish and chips. Both were really yummy. Good portions. Cooked well and seasoned well. We had espresso martini and a blackberry sangria. Both were perfect. Can't wait to come back and bring friends. ”
